SVIS offers Think Room Studio Pedagogy, a unique Teaching–Learning system implemented at the primary level for Classes I to V. Through thoughtfully designed studio-based learning and specially curated books, students are encouraged to think logically, creatively, and critically. The middle school classes 6 to 8 are formative stages that equip learners with essential skills and prepare them to face the challenges of a competitive world. At SVIS, the CBSE curriculum for Classes VI to VIII is implemented in accordance with the NCERT syllabus. Foundation programmes are introduced from Class VI onwards in core subjects to build strong conceptual understanding and academic clarity.
Classes IX and X constitute a crucial phase in a student’s academic journey, laying a strong foundation and enabling informed decision-making for future academic choices. At the Senior Secondary level, students are systematically nurtured to develop strong analytical and technical skills in core subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in the Science stream, and Commerce and Accountancy in the Commerce stream. The SVIS library is innovatively designed to accommodate a large number of students and serves as a vibrant hub of learning. It offers a rich and diverse collection of resources, including a wide range of books, digital content, e-books, and magazines relevant to contemporary needs.
The library houses curriculum-based reference materials, textbooks for senior classes, the latest journals, magazines related to sports, general knowledge, competitive examinations, and political affairs, as well as editions of all leading newspapers. To nurture a strong reading culture, special reading habits are inculcated through the introduction of the DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) period in the regular timetable.
The library plays a pivotal role in providing students with opportunities to explore, research, and discover knowledge, thereby fostering curiosity and transforming them into passionate, lifelong learners.
